Between 2018 October and December, there are 44 recall cases of Food Contact Materials in US, Canada, EU and Australia regions. 25 cases are related to harmful substances while 19 cases are related to physical failures.18 of them (40.9%) are associated with exported goods from China. Among all recall cases in chemical areas, the top three reasons are Specific Migration of Formaldehyde (32.0%), Primary Aromatic Amine (28.0%), and heavy metals (24.0%) while the highest risk materials are metal and plastic (Totally consisted of 56.0%). For those physical cases, seven of them (36.8%) are due to the potential burning failure.
