Recall Summary for RAPEX in 2015 June

Release Date:7/31/2015     Read Count:1958     Command Count:0

ECHA has recently announced the recall summary for RAPEX in 2015 June. Among all 91 recall cases related to physical hazards, 38 of them (41.7%) are associated with exported goods from China. Meanwhile, for those 38 recall cases regarding harmful substances, 64.7% (i.e. 25 recall cases) are related to the products manufactured in China. Chinese products ranked first in both categories.

If the product violates EU regulations and pose any health, safety or environmental risks, the usage of the substances to the related products will be banned or restricted. Once notification has been released, the European Commission and all member states can be notified through the RAPEX system for taking the necessary action. Thus, the products will be banned to enter into other European countries, withdrew from the market, or recalled from the consumers.
