EU Commission has recently announced the recall summary for RAPEX in September 2015 . Among all 97 recall cases related to physical hazards, 47 of them (48.4%) are associated with exported goods from China, whereas among 39 recall cases regarding harmful substances, 32 of them (82.0%) are related to products manufactured in China. Products from China rank Top in both categories.
While any product violates EU regulations and poses health, safety or environmental risks, all member states will be notified through the RAPEX system and take necessary actions. Thus, the products will be banned to enter these European countries, withdrawn from the market, or recalled from consumers.
